The Bengals are a franchise that has not only failed to win a Super Bowl (0-2 lifetime) but the good times have been elusive. The team hasn’t won a playoff game since the 1990 season, the longest active drought in the league. But head coach Marvin Lewis has led the club to the postseason in three of the last four seasons. That includes appearances in both 2011 and 2012, the first time in 30 years (1981 and 1982) and only the second time that Cincinnati has earned playoff invitations in consecutive seasons. Do not miss the chance to watch them play live by booking your Bengals Tickets.

In 2012 Lewis’ club stumbled out of the gate, losing 44-13 to the Ravens in the opener and then followed a three-game winning streak with four consecutive losses. But Cincinnati would rally to win seven of its last eight games and in the process did not allow a team to score more than 20 points in any of those games. Second-year pro Andy Dalton threw for 3,669 yards and 27 scores (16 interceptions) while fellow sophomore A.J. Green was huge, catching 97 passes for 1,350 yards and 11 touchdowns.

In 2013 the young passing combo of Dalton and Green can only get better with more playing time. And running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis hopes to pick up where he left off in 2012, when he finished very strongly. But the best news is that for the most part, coordinator Mike Zimmer’s defense (sixth in the league in yards allowed in 2012) remains intact. Emerging Geno Atkins was arguably the best defensive tackle in the NFL last season and unsung defensive end Michael Johnson quietly finished with 11.5 sacks.

In 2014 it was team’s 45th season in the NFL, overall it was 47th and under head Coach Marvin Lewis it was the 12th. It was their 4th consecutive season in which they qualified for playoffs, but Indianapolis Colts defeated them in first round, which added another number to their losing streak and made it 3rd longest losing streak in NFL.
