At one time, the Jacksonville Jaguars were the exception not the rule when it came to expansion teams. After a 4-12 debut in 1995, then-head coach Tom Coughlin led the franchise to the playoffs four straight years and to the AFC title game twice over that span. But the team has won just 27 games over the past five seasons after their last playoff appearance in 2007. Gus Bradley, the Seahawks’ former defensive coordinator, will be the Jaguars’ third opening-day head coach in as many seasons.

In 2012 simply put, the Jaguars are coming off the worst season in the 18-year history of the franchise. Only the Chiefs (211) and Cardinals (250) scored fewer points than Jacksonville (255), which ranked 29th in total offense and 30th in yards allowed in the league this past season. The team would lose running back Maurice Jones-Drew after six games, but he still wound up leading the Jaguars in rushing yards. Second-year quarterback Blaine Gabbert made some strides before going down at midseason.

In 2013 of the eight new head coaches in the NFL this season, Bradley is the lone hire who specializes in defense. Hence it was no surprise that the franchise used free agency to fix a unit that gave up the third-most rushing yards in the league last season. The additions of defensive tackles Roy Miller (Buccaneers) and DT Sen’Derrick Marks (Titans) should help up front, as will the addition of outside linebacker Geno Hayes (Bears). Of course, a healthy Jones-Drew in the lineup would be a huge help. They were at 3rd place in AFC South Division and sadly they did not qualify for the playoffs.

In 2014 under second head coach Gus Bradley. They were not able to improve their 4-12 record instead finished 3-13. Jaguars again finished 3rd in the AFC South Division for the second time straight. After defeat from Colts they were eliminated from postseason contention. Jaguars defeated New York Gaints 25-24 in week 13 which was their biggest comeback in the team’s history. They were not able to win any road game in the season. See how they will perform in latest season by buying your Cheap Jacksonville Jaguars tickets from Askaticket.
